Multimedia: The LCD has multiple inputs for data, internet, video & audio, so it can be used for interactive multimedia applications. It enables the User to introduce a wider range of activities and functions to the presentation or lesson.
Interactive Board: When used as an interactive board, benefits over traditional whiteboard systems are:
- No shadowing,
- No strong projector light that is harmful to eyes, and
- Reduced usage costs (no expensive projector lamp to replace).
- It is also more user friendly, without the need to calibrate if moved.
Portability: While the LCD is a large unit, when mounted on the mobile stand, it can be easily moved around a building. Traditional whiteboard/projector systems are not designed for mobility.
Copyboard: The interactive LCD can be used as a Copyboard, so that notes can be made during brainstorming sessions, saved & printed for sending to all participants. Handwriting can be converted to text using Handwriting Recognition software.
Reduced installation charges: The interactive LCD is easily to install and connect. Cables do not have to be installed in walls & ceilings (as with whiteboard systems) reducing installation costs.
Ease of Operaton: Inputs can be easily controlled using selection buttons on the IWB frame. With projection systems, remotes are required to change sources,
